Mr. Bernstein joined Axonic in 2019 and oversees the firm’s residential mortgage backed securities (RMBS), asset backed securities (ABS) and residential loan trading and portfolio management across funds. He serves as the primary portfolio manager for select funds, responsible for sector allocations, risk oversight, cash management, and leverage/repo oversight. Prior to Axonic, Mr. Bernstein worked for a year at Odeon Capital, where he was a trader and head of RMBS analytics. Mr. Bernstein worked at JPMorgan from 2008 to 2018 as a Vice President responsible for the illiquid securitized products/special situation portfolio. He started his career in Bear Stearn’s FAST (financial analytics and structured transactions) program. Mr. Bernstein received his BA in Economics from Columbia University.
